Materials

The inner tray is stainless steel. Your food touches steel, never a coating and never plastic warmed with it. The tray lifts out and goes in the dishwasher. The outer shell is molded plastic. It never touches your food.

Does it need an outlet to heat?

No. It runs on its own battery, 8000 mAh, which heats one full meal per charge. You charge it overnight like a phone. The cable is only for charging, never for heating.

How long does it take?

About 20 minutes from fridge-cold to 149 °F for a normal plate. A dense or very cold dish takes closer to 30, which is why the timer exists. You can set the timer so it starts on its own and the meal is ready when you stop, rather than when you remember.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

The stainless tray, yes. The heated shell holds the battery and the element, so wipe it with a damp cloth and never submerge it.

How much does it hold?
